Exon-Mobile just announced it will spend $30B in the next year looking for new oil reserves. So is it any?

wonder, after spending $21B last year, they need the ';excessive'; profits they are accused of stealing from the public?Exon-Mobile just announced it will spend $30B in the next year looking for new oil reserves. So is it any?
You seem to understand economics better than most. They take those profits and reinvest them. If we bankrupt the oil companies, we will stagnate energy development, ruin the stock market and tank the retirement accounts of many peopleExon-Mobile just announced it will spend $30B in the next year looking for new oil reserves. i agree but we also need more oil refineries here in the us and they do get a huge tax break at the end of the year. they have plenty of oil in Alaska they shouldn't have trouble finding it if the govt would of allowed it. so i can understand there frustration .
Well, who else do you expect is going to invest in the huge capital development that will be required to replace oil with ethanol and/or hydrogen? Like it or not, it will be the oil companies's profits that build the infrastructure for oil's replacement.
This is what the govt does! i agree with the people! what's the opposition doing? cam't they ask in the senate?
