Well, aside from every single republican singing the same old song about freeing our nation from its oil dependency from foreign suppliers by turning our own soil into every environmentalists (and any person who has a heart not to want to see what happens to living creatures covered in oil), it is hard to say.


There isn''t much to gain from what I heard. Scientists estimate that it wouldn't even cover the nation's current demands for even half of a year. As much as they have already spent just building the bridge to nowhere, the small fines they most likely will be forced to pay due to necessary clean-up from oil spills on National Wildlife Refuge areas, and the money that they had to put up just to build the stupid pipeline and bribe lawmakers...my guess is that they are already in the negative. Unless, they are after something else, that is.
