Has anyone ever explained to the community organizer why the oil reserves are not for general consumption?

National emergency is what I understand why these reserves are being held. War is the first thing that comes to mind. So, as I understand his strategy, talking with world leaders is all we really need to have a safe world? There really isn't much reason to use precautions like maintaining oil reserves with Obama in charge, now is there?Has anyone ever explained to the community organizer why the oil reserves are not for general consumption?
It is for a national emergency and it's not an endless pool of oil. There is about a 30 day supply so making that available is only a temporary fix and will do nothing to solve the problem. The commodity traders and the Saudi's know this and all they will do is wait untill the reserve gets low and then raise the price back up and the Democrats will say see increasing the supply didn't help. Most Americans are smart enough that they wont fall for this BSHas anyone ever explained to the community organizer why the oil reserves are not for general consumption?
That's interesting, because the U.S. government considers it differently than you. According to them, national emergencies include such things as natural disasters (11 million barrels were sold from the reserve in 2005 to offset production problems), war-time market disruptions (17 million sold from reserve in 1991 because of Operation Desert Storm), and reducing the deficit (28 million barrels sold in 1996/97 just for that purpose).





SOOOO - sounds to me like you could benefit from being a community organizer.
Releasing oil from the strategic reserve will immediately lower the price of oil, probably substantially, and thereby help consumers.





As Obama points out, the light crude oil can be replaced with heavier crude that is more suitable for long-term emergency stockpiling. It is an excellent proposal.





Btw, Obama taught constitutional law for 12 years at the University of Chicago Law School, an excellent law school, and practiced law.
Probably not. If anyone has, I doubt that Obama cares because he and Pelosi and most of the Democrats despise oil. They cannot stand capitalism and that's why they demonize oil companies as 'Big Oil.'





A vote for the Democrats is a vote for communism.
He does not think that America will ever go to war again or have a major natural disaster, so he wants to divide all the oil reserves between each of the 57 states. It's a fine idea.

The community organizer is an ignorant twit. And wouldn't listen to an explanation -- he's so arrogant that he thinks he's the chosen one, and has all the answers. What a fool.

Here's the plan: Use up the reserves and then tell us that more oil is not the answer.
